Why does my company need corporate driver training?
Any employee or member of an organisation who drives as part of their role should be given adequate and relevant driver training.
The fleet training programs, delivered by our experienced instructors teach your staff how to use and handle all your work vehicles correctly and safely according to their specific requirements.
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 requires managers to have in place a risk assessment which includes a company policy and training schedule in relation to driving activities.
Furthermore the Corporate Manslaughter Act 2006 moves responsibility for deaths on the road from the driver to the line manager, where inadequate provisions have been made.
Developing Correct Attitudes
In any one year, excessive and inappropriate speed kills around 1,200 people and injures over 100,000 more. This is the largest contributor to casualties; most crashes are predictable and are caused by thoughtless behaviour. Fleet trainers are expected to identify the individual needs of those who drive for a living or have to drive as part of their daily routine in order to attend meetings and other appointments.
Company Benefits
