ADI Training

I started training with Mandy in December 2008, from the outset I was impressed with her relaxed and honest approach, in that she made it clear from the start that becoming a qualified driving instructor was demanding and challenging process. After passing the Part 1 theory test, the training for Part 2 involved 10 hours in car training, which I needed after developing a host of bad driving habits but Mandy quickly and effectively ironed them out for me. Although nerve racking I passed Part 2 the 1 hour driving test first time. However, It was during the Part 3 training when Mandy's experience really showed and thanks to her tips and advice I was able to pass my Part 3 first time with a 5-5 grade.

I would highly recommend Mandy as an ADI instructor, she gets straight to the point and outlines what you need to know and what you don't. Although demanding I thoroughly enjoyed my 50 plus hours training with Mandy. What was great for me was that she was able to get me through all 3 Parts of the ADI process in a very short time period, which was crucial as driving instructing was my only income.

Mandy was patient and has an abundance of knowledge. She taught me that pupils are all different and that you need to adjust your teaching to suit their needs. The core competencies are most fundamental and need to be followed all the time. I really enjoyed my training that was given, and attained a 5/4, which I was very pleased with - as I really struggle with exam pressure. Thanks very much for all your help Mandy.

Mandy supported me in teaching my son to drive, she took him out and advised him in areas of driving that I was unsure about as things have progressed since I took my test. My son benefited from learning to drive in different conditions and spent time on the dual carriage way which has helped him progress onto the motorway now he has passed his test. I felt sure that my son was getting value for money with quality lessons. Mandy also ensured that what he had learnt in his theory was being put into practise when he was out on the road, giving him the ability to be a safe driver not just to pass his test.

Mandy is very patient, honest and positive, which is exactly the support I needed at this stage of attempting to take my ADI for the second time. I had previously taken it with another company but unfortunately their limited teaching methods meant that I wasn't progressing enough to pass. I felt Mandy explained things clearly and has instilled confidence in me and given me the support I needed in the right areas to progress.

Check Test Training

As a qualified ADI never having taken up employment as a Driving Instructor, having to pass the DSA 'check test' in order to remain on the register was a daunting prospect. I needn't have worried though because good fortune brought me to Key Skills Instructor Training. Targeted training delivered in a relaxed but professional manner ensured the 'pass' I required with minimum fuss. I would thoroughly recommend Key Skills to any PDI starting out or ADI requiring a refresher.

One morning the postman posted the letter we all dread to see through my letter box, yes my check test date. I gave Mandy a ring, we had a lengthy chat and i booked up for some refresher check test training. I was so pleased with how quickly Mandy identified my weaknesses and how she went about correcting them. My lessons are now structured better due to the help and knowledge from Mandy. Thanks to Mandy i received the grade i wanted for my check test and have since recommended her to fellow ADI's. I will be using Mandy in the future for regular refresher training and CPD. Part 3 Rescue Training

Mandy. How are things?

Just a quick email to thank you for the Part 3 rescue training I did with you on the 3rd and 4th May 2010.

I found it very good in that you put information I already knew from a different angle, and a lot I didn't. My previous college instructors seemed to be of the adage ' teach everything(phase 1), ask everything(phase 2) before you start'' you taught to tell/ask the bare bones and then get the pupil on the move and continue to tell/ask as the lesson went on.
The course was done on an informal level but I found I was still learning even when we stopped for a 'break'.
The help given to simplify my lesson plans was great and it helped me to get things into a logical order in my head, even down to your simple graphics being easier to understand.
All this said you helped me to pass second attempt, going from a 2-2 to a 5-4. Thank you.
